Our story

Rooted in the land.
Made for connection.

The quiet of the Texas Panhandle. A working ranch. A place to gather. This is The Last Buffalo.

Darrouzett, Texas

A place of peace.
A different pace.

In Darrouzett, a 7,000-square-foot bank has been thoughtfully reimagined as The Last Buffalo lodge. A place to unwind, spend time together, and feel a little further from the rush.

Beyond the lodge, Josh operates a working cattle ranch in the Texas Panhandle. The seasons, the cattle, and the land are part of the story we share.

Life on the ranch

A moment on the ranch

A glimpse of the working land, through the seasons. Black cattle gather in the falling snow.

A hunting heritage

Hunting remains part of our story, with limited opportunities by private arrangement. Speak with Josh about what may be possible during your visit.
